About the Role

Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued growth and peak demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc day shifts available to suit a range of availability and working preferences.

You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, with a focus on safety, compliance, and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK during the day.
  • Ensure loads are safely strapped and secure.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
  • Maintain clear communication with the transport office.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and represent the client professionally.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with current CPC and Digi Tacho card.
  • Strong understanding of driver hours and tacho regulations.
  • No more than 6 points on your licence and no major endorsements (e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).
  • Good communication skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.
  • Able to work independently and maintain professional standards.
